Opera on the Go with Simon Williams
Throughout the season, Opera Santa Barbara explores the world of opera with our Opera on the Go series. This program gives unique insight into the world of opera by delving into history, composers, voice types and training and other questions which help give the audience a deeper understanding about opera. Hosted by Professor Simon Williams, the series features several special guests.

November 10, 2010: Women with a Past in Opera with Simon Williams January 12, 2011: Opera in Film with Mashey Bernstein February 16, 2011: Opera Buffa with Simon Williams March 16, 2011: Leonard Bernstein with Simon Williams April 6, 2011: Training the Operatic Voice with Sheri Greenawald May 11, 2011: Reinventing Opera, Reinventing Ourselves with Peter Kazaras Admission: $15 each, $12 for Season Subscribers, $5 for Students with ID. Subscriptions for all 7 presentations are $75. All presentations will be held in the McCune Founders Room at The Granada. Talks begin at 5:30 pm, are approx. 75 minutes long, and tickets are only available for purchase at the door. |
