New! Family Opera Plan!

A new Family Opera Plan is available for our matinee performance of La Traviata on March 6, 2011. Children between the ages of 6-12 will be admitted for $5 each, with accompanying adult tickets at the regular price of $70 each. Seating is in Section C in the Balcony. There will be a special pre-opera event for participating families at 1:30 pm (1 hour prior to the performance) where children will learn about the opera, the music and the characters. All children must be accompanied, and there is a limit of two children per adult. Tickets are limited! To reserve your tickets, call 805.898.3890.


Opera on the Go Season Announced!

Opera Santa Barbara announces an exciting new season of Opera on the Go presentations. This season, now taking place exclusively in the Granada Theater’s intimate Founders’ Room, will open with OSB Artistic Director Jose Maria Condemi (pictured above) explaining the “nuts and bolts” of a stage director’s craft. Other moderators and guests include OSB’s own Professor Simon Williams, local favorite Dr. Mashey Bernstein, head of SF Opera’s Merola Program Sheri Greenawald, and Director of Seattle Opera’s Young Artists Program Peter Kazares.
